The standing committee schedule for each chamber is provided on File Share.
Each potential bill is assigned to a standing committee upon introduction. The status of the bill will indicate "Introduced and referred to xxxx" with xxxx being the committee. The committee reviews the proposed legislation, hears from the sponsor and then takes testimony before working the bill. The committee meetings provide any member of the public the opportunity to testify on or against the bill. The legislators take that testimony very seriously as they weight the merits of the document including any changes to improve the language though amendments or a decision to vote for or against. Only after a positive vote in Committee does the bill come to that chamber for consideration. Knowing when the committee is next scheduled to meet will help plan for attendance after checking the daily schedule available at https://www.wyoleg.gov/Calendar/.
